About Dirty Kumquats

Dirty Kumquats started in 2019 as a late night drunken conversation about words that sound like profanities but aren't. Topping the list was the word kumquat. We'd heard people on the street call other people dirty kumquats, which we thought was hysterical.

 

We initially thought The Dirty Kumquats would be a great band name but could be funny if applied to something else. Checked to see if the domain was available and parked it. For the next few days I couldn't shake the term until the idea hit me to slap on googly eyes and stage them for pics. At the time I was a few years into experimenting with turning pics into art by using different app filters.
